Whew! Halloween weekend was jam packed with candy, costumes and all kinds of family fun!
Bridget had her school party on Thursday and I was so happy I could be there for it. Todd even took a few hours off that morning to stay at home with Ross, so I could be there for Bridget without my very cute and chic hip accessory!
Bridget and Kristen....too cool for school!
A classic Bridget face
Pretty sure she stuffed the entire mini cupcake in her mouth
Eyeing Zoe's food plate very carefully...
On Friday, we took the kids to Bass Pro Shop for their Peanuts Halloween event. Bridget was so excited to get her picture taken with Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin. As usual, Ross just gets toted around and lets us plop him down for photos ops now and then!
By Saturday morning we still did not have a big pumpkin for carving. So we headed out to Lakes Park where we ended up finding a perfectly plump pumpkin. We enjoyed a few minutes of their fall festival activities, but headed home quickly for the big Gator game that afternoon. We scooped and cleaned out the pumpkin before the game and after a nail-biting overtime win, we finally carved it. Bridget was insistent that it be a happy face pumpkin this year.
Where's Ross, you're wondering?
Under the chair with a wire in his hand, of course!
She was right in Todd's face the whole time giving him very specific directions.
Giving her the pencil and letting her think that she drew the mouth
Ta-Da!
And finally the month's most anticipated event, Halloween! Both grandparents came up for trick or treating this year and we did what most of the neighborhood does and set up in our driveway. We ate chili, cornbread and wings in the driveway and welcomed the first trick or treaters by 6:00. After a few more groups, Bridget couldn't wait any longer and we were off ourselves. Bridget's going through an "It's Scary" phase right now and I really wasn't sure how she'd react to getting so close to some of Halloween decorations we'd pass. I guess candy trumps all because she walked right past those skeletons and zombies to collect her loot! After each treat she collected, she'd run away and yell, "Let's go more trick or treatin'!" We passed lots of friends and neighbors along the way and enjoyed seeing all the adorable kids in their costumes. Ross's beard was a no-go that night, but he kept the hat on and despite the late evening, he loved the wagon ride and all the attention he was getting!
Not so sure about that spider...
Sarah at the food table...
Ross loved the cornbread that the "Beach Grandma" made!
Trick or Treat time!
She finally called it a night and hitched a ride home in the wagon. This morning we are enjoying a lazy morning in pajamas and are awaiting our first piece of chocolate!

Great pictures, Jessica! Ross, I mean really...does that baby get any funnier? He's always under something or in something. Bridget really does make a beautiful Snow White! I'm so glad she enjoyed the festivities :)
