Early Bird Gets the Donut

There is nothing I would love more than to be able to sleep in on the weekends. And by sleep in, I mean 7:30 or 8:00. Bridget prefers the 6a.m. range. Some mornings when she wakes up early we'll bring her into bed with us and she'll fall back asleep nestled between us for a couple more hours. More lately though, she squirms and jumps and kicks us until we get up with her. This morning I didn't fight it, but embraced it. Bridget and I got up, quietly got dressed (orange and blue clothes of course, it's a gameday!) and took a trip to Dunkin Donuts.

She sure does still look tired here...maybe she should have slept longer!!

We decided on Munchkins because for some reason I think eating 7 or 8 munchkins is probably better than eating 2 regular sized donuts. I'm sure I'm very wrong about that, but we all enjoyed them very much! Bridget got a chocolate one for the ride home and then a glazed and cinnamon one back at the house. And sometimes getting Bridget to eat can be a real chore, but not this morning. Nope, she was practically popping them in whole!

Hmmm, maybe I could fit this whole thing in my mouth...


Yep, I think it fits!

Sick Days

Phew-it's been a week! Bridget is on Day 7 of "The cold that won't away". We're dealing with fevers, runny nose, coughing, a rash, medicines and a lot of sad, pathetic cries. Poor thing just can't get all better. Let's hope this is her one big illness for the year!

While Bridget seems to like all things girly, there is one thing lately she can't get enough of...her 1 little Hot Wheel car. I have no idea where this Hot Wheel car came from. It just appeared one day in the toy box. She zooms it around the floor and shouts, "Gooooo!" Driving it on our face and head seems to be a lot of fun too!





But to be fair to her girly-girl side, she does keep it stored in her Hello Kitty lunch box!




Look at these two! We are practicing wearing hats this weekend, in hopes that she will keep in on next weekend when she has her picture taken. This hat would just be the icing on the cake in her adorable little fall outfit I have picked out for her!

Long Weekends are the Best

There's nothing better than a long weekend! Todd golfed on Saturday morning, so it was just Bridget and I. And what do girls love to do? Shop, of course! We went to Target to spend a few dollars of my first paycheck. We came home with a new play cash register for Bridget. There's something so fun about swiping a credit card and hearing all those beeps!



"Charge it!" she says


Saturday was also the first Gator gameday of the season. We all sported our orange and blue to support our favorite team. At gametime Bridget ate pizza with us and even did a few touchdown dances!

Bridget has recently decided that sitting in a highchair at mealtime is very uncool. And since this rental house we're living in doesn't have room for our kitchen table, we eat at the kitchen island which is very awkward, but oh well...we'll be back in our house soon enough. So, we must pull up a chair for Bridget and she eats while standing. This is probably not the greatest habit to start, but we'll just add it to the list of..."I'm Sure She'll Grow Out of This Soon!"
