Such a Boy

In between all the birthday and Halloween festivities this month, Ross has made certain that at least some of the attention has stayed on him. Last week I went to fill in a few things in his baby book for his 8th month and I quickly filled up the whole page...and the month was only halfway over! He is all boy and I wouldn't have it any other way!

First off, is crawling. He has perfected the army crawl and I don't think he's going to get up on his knees and crawl the traditional way. Army crawling suits him just fine. He can get around so quick and has no problems at all finding all sorts of naughty trouble to get into. The only problem I have with this is that I'm realizing my floors aren't exactly as clean as I thought they were. I am constantly vacuuming and mopping to keep the floors as clean as I can for the little worm!

He loves crawling over to the sliding glass door and sticking his hands down in the dirty tracks. Such a boy...

He is trying so hard to pull himself up and onto things, but he just hasn't found the right things to pull up on. He keeps going for things will move or slide out from underneath him. Hello Danger!!

Another "such a boy" cliche that is so true for Ross is eating. He LOVES to eat and is now eating anything and everything! He's eating 3 meals a day now and each one is a combination of baby food and table food. He is great at picking it up with his fingers and even likes to use a fork. If we put the food on the fork for him, he will pick it up and bring it to his mouth to slurp the food off of it! Bridget still spaces out at mealtimes and we often has to help her along. Ross will be feeding himself and Bridget before we know it! Ross's mealtimes are a HUGE mess, but he just loves it. He gets really, really mad when the food is all gone!

He is waving Hi and Bye and I swear, he even says "Hi" while doing it. Okay, his version of saying Hi is really just a one syllable babble, but when you combine it with the wave, I'm calling it his first word! Playing peek-a-boo in the curtains is another fun game he loves and his peek-a-boo smiles are THE BEST!

Here's an adorable video of him waving and playing. Listen closely for the, "Hi"!
