Three

Once upon a time there was a teeny tiny baby girl...

Then we blinked and she was 3!

No words could ever accurately describe Bridget's personality! I'm trying to think of all the right words to say and all the best adjectives to describe her, but none of them do her justice. She is quite simply, just perfect.

She is a sweet and loving big sister who always willing to help me out whenever I need her. She is confident and sure of herself, chit chatting with store employees and ordering her own meals at restaurants. Her face is sprinkled with itty bitty freckles just like Mommy and Daddy. She loves watching her TV shows, but would turn them off in an instant to run outside and kick a ball. She loves tutus, jewelry, make-up, shoes and looking pretty. She remembers anything and everything you tell her and if you make her a promise you better be ready to come through for her. She is still sneaking out of her bed every night and finding her way into our bed. Every night we say that this will be the night we take her back to her bed and keep bringing her back as many times as we need to. Yeah right. She loves belting out songs and saying nursery rhymes. Her favorite is Georgie Porgie Puddin' and Pie...but we modify a bit for our baby boy and say, Rossy Rossy Puddin' and Pie. She is starting to talk about monsters and other scary things and I have a feeling that before too long she is going to think they are living under her bed and in her closet. She wakes up every morning and says, "What we gonna do today?" And I better have something fun planned. Luckily for both of us though, a trip to Target is at the top of the fun list! She is doing great in school too. I made a short visit to her classroom last week for a birthday treat and I was so proud of her. She listened to her teacher and you could tell that following the rules was very important to her.

On her actual birthday, the 15th, Todd took the day off work and we celebrated together. Presents in the morning, the park in the afternoon and then a late lunch out. The park was great! It had playgrounds, a train ride, water spouts, walking trails and a snack bar. It was not your average park-perfect for a special day! It was a beautiful day for a birthday and I was so thankful that we got to spend it all together. She loved that it was her special day and told quite a few people about it!

We opened Aunt Jody's present a couple of days early. Thanks to Skype, Jody was there to see her open her new rain boots!

And finally at the end of the day...

The celebrations are not over yet though. Next weekend is her birthday party. A Halloween Birthday party! Friends in costumes are coming over to help her celebrate and we can't wait!

We love our big 3 year old more than words can describe and I know we are in for a wonderful year!

Jessica, she is so adorable! She has got the best expressions. What a fun day you planned for her and can't wait to see party pictures! I hope Grandma Sarah is dressing up for this. My goal for the coming year is to spend some time with both these little cuties. They grow up way too fast. Love, Aunt Susie
