She may not have taken to him as her best buddy right away, but finally 11 months into this sister/brother relationship they ARE best buddies. They play together, eat meals together, make each other laugh and take baths together every night. Bridget loves to be his mommy too...tickling him, cleaning up after him and keeping him away from the things he can't have (or the things she doesn't want him to have!) We're at a very fun point in this life with 2 kids, that it really feels like we can pick up and do just about anything and and it isn't an exhausting or overwhelming task. I'm still torn over whether we will add another baby to the mix someday, but I must admit that I am loving what we have now and can't think of anything more perfect than the 4 of us!
Todd was away on business earlier this week and we were so happy to welcome him home last night. This is the 3rd time I've been on my own with both kids for a few days, and thankfully it gets a little easier each time. I keep us very busy during the day, so by bedtime we're all worn out and have no problem falling asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow!
Homemade pizza the night before Todd left
I know, I know...but with all the girly stuff around it's hard to resist!
Everyday she asks to go to the playground..."Not the one in my neighborhood, the OTHER one!" With the beautiful winter weather, it's hard to say no!
Can't stop taking pictures of his sweet face!
There's nothing I love more than seeing her choose to read a book over anything else!
No, David! has been of my favorite books forever! Lately, she's been a little shy about looking at this page where naughty David is running down the street naked!
Even when it's cold...you know, 60-something!-we bundle up and play in the driveway!
We survived just fine without Daddy for a few days, but are definitely very happy to have him back home!

Oh I just love this! It makes me so excited for what's to come for our little family. And WOW to all those awesome photos! Looks like that new camera made you into a genuine photographer!!! xo
Great pictures Jessica! Those are awesome shots of Ross...he is the perfect, chubby cheeked, smiley faced baby boy! I love to see Bridget happily playing with Ross. It'll only get better and WORSE and better. LOL The fights get more intense but the relationship grows fonder. You're gonna love it! Next winter they'll both be running around after each other on the playground.
It really is the greatest - watching the love btwn the two kids!! It gets more and more special everyday!! Love all the new pics - they are two precious kids!!! They are so sweet!!
The picture of Rossy on the chair while Bridget is drinking her tea, with her legs crossed of course, is soooo sweet...little chubber!
Great post Jessica! All of these pictures are individually precious!
Oh how I love to see the two of them together. It makes me want another one so that Baylee will have that special bond. The picture with Ross in the towel is my favorite.
I'm counting the days until I can write a similar post like this about Lily and Grady, but trying not to wish this time away! What a special bond to see develop right before your eyes!!
