It's sad, but true. We live so close to the beach, yet don't make it there nearly as much as we should. Also sad, but true...lugging the kids and all their beach paraphernalia is A LOT of work. Making my first point seem more logical, right??
Well, last week we made it to the beach not once, but twice! And really the toughest part was cleaning up and getting home. Packing up the toys, attempting to shower off the sand (impossible), changing into dry clothes and then the aftermath of dragging sandy toddlers into the house is where the hard work comes in. It is getting easier and I vow to make it at least a few more times this summer-excluding our upcoming beach vacation!
Last Monday's beach trip was a sunset one and it was perfect. Just me, the kids, my mom and my sister Caroline who is now a resident of Indiana:( We spent all our time last week with Caroline before she made her big move. The kids had to be in the water the whole time and while I can't say I loved being in the water at dusk (sharks!?!?!), we made it out alive! The water was calm, the sand of soft and the sunset was beautiful. We ARE doing this again soon!
Beach picture overload happening now:
Show me your muscles, Ross!
I can really see her changing and maturing face in this picture. She is growing up so fast!
High Five, Sis!
And oh yeah, we did see the sun set too!
