It's been one of those crazy-busy weeks for us, but in a very good way. My sister, Jody, has been in town all week for an extra long visit. She hadn't been home since Christmas which meant that she was meeting Ross for the very first time. Bridget was so excited to see her Aunt "Goey" too! We Skype with her as often as we can, which has been great for Bridget. It doesn't take her any time at all to warm up to her since we get to see her on the computer screen all the time.
Jody and Rossy Boy!
Jody had Ross in her arms as much as he would let her (he seems to be getting more attached to me as each day goes by...Bridget was exactly the same way!), but it was Bridget who really loved all the attention from Jody. Jody would put makeup on with her everyday, let her play with her iPhone, watch her favorite shows with her, and really whatever Bridget demanded her to do! We went to the pool, made cupcakes, played on our new Wii and shopped too! It was nonstop fun for everyone! I think Bridget was hoping that Jody would be staying in our guest room forever!
Mommy's phone only makes phone calls, so Bridget was quite impressed with Jody's iPhone!
Jody had to work a little one afternoon and Bridget was right there to do the same
Sneaking cupcake batter
Even though his hand is covering his face, you can still see that HUGE smile!
Playtime in Bridget's big girl bed
On Saturday was Ross's Baptism at church. We asked Jody to be his Godmother and Todd's brother, Kevan, to the be the Godfather. He was baptized during the mass and our good little boy didn't make a peep. He squirmed and flinched when they poured the water on his head, but never cried. He stayed awake and in my arms for the whole thing. Afterwards we celebrated at home with a big family dinner. His baptism gown is very special too. My grandmother made it for me nearly 31 years ago. Since then, all of my siblings wore it and so did Bridget just a couple of years ago.
It's quiet at home now with "Goey" gone, but we won't have too wait too much longer to see her again. She'll be back in June for a long weekend. And Jody, Bridget has just one request...be sure to bring the iPhone back for a little Tiki Beach!
