Last Thursday I had to pick Bridget up from school early. She had a little fever and big headache. Luckily, her fever broke within a few hours and that was it, but to play it safe I didn't send her to school the next day. Ross went anyway and Bridget and I (who really was fine!) made a Girls Day of it!
We started with a walk in the park on the boardwalk. Bridget loved all the twists and turns and all the forks in the path, that made her choose which way to go. Clearly, stopping to pose for pictures didn't bother her!
Next was the Children's Museum. Bridget heard me talking on the phone the week earlier about going there with Ross and some other friends while she would be at school. Her biggest adjustment to school so far this year had been going everyday. She flat out told me, "Mom, I just want to stay home somedays." Since then I've been making a point to do lots of fun and special things in the afternoons when I pick her up from school. But having a morning just the two of us was even better!
I thought she might end up getting bored without a brother or a friend to play with at the museum, but she could have stayed all day!
The only snowman she may ever build!

We ended our morning a with a trip to the mall, because what kind of girls day would it be without some shopping and lunch?!
My beautiful girl, inside and out!
