Sweet Christmas Memories

Every year this season goes by so fast. Too fast. Having two little ones at home this year makes it twice as sweet. Who doesn't love a baby's first Christmas? A new stocking to hang, baby feet in cozy Christmas PJ's, that very first encounter with Santa and one more cheek to kiss goodnight on Christmas Eve. Ross is enjoying the season as much as his little 10 month old self can!

It was actually sweater weather this week! And not just in the early morning, but all day long. Brrrrr! Why I am showing you picture of the back of Ross's head? Because it's the sweetest little back of a head you've ever seen! I know you want to nuzzle it...

He's been pretty good around the tree, but sometimes the temptation is too hard to resist!

Same with the dishwasher...he just can't resist sometimes!

This year, Bridget 100% gets Christmas. It's all so exciting, so real and so larger than life for her. She eats, sleeps and breathes Christmas this year. First thing in the morning she wakes up looking for Max the Elf. The sneaky little guy has yet to be hiding out in the same spot twice this year. Let's see if he can keep that up for one more week!
She's breaks out into Christmas songs spontaneously all day long and we MUST listen to the Christmas CD in the car. Starting from the beginning with Santa Baby-every. single. time. we get in the car.
She's eating Christmas tree shaped PB&J's for lunch and eating all her dinner every night for a chance to open another box of her chocolate advent calendar. We've done a little Christmas crafting, but not as much as I'd like. Crafting and Ross don't exactly go together!

Her school Christmas concert and party were priceless. There is nothing more special than a whole bunch of preschoolers at Christmastime.
Our very first homemade preschool ornament is proudly hanging on the tree and I can't wait to add many, many more.

When you ask Bridget wants she wants for Christmas, it's one thing and one thing only. A Choo Choo Train Table. "We'll have to see what Santa can do", we tell her!
I'm certain that this year and the next few, will be the most magical Christmases of all. There isn't a doubt in her mind that Santa and his reindeer will bust into our house on Christmas Eve, eat a bunch of our cookies, leave a ridiculous amount of gifts and then return to the North Pole for another whole year.
We are enjoying every second of it and I can't believe there is only one week left until the big day!

p.s.-WHO taught her to do this?? Not me!

I think Santa should bring Bridget those bowls with the built in straw by looking at that those last two pics! :) Have you seen those? They're pretty neat and they're made for just that...drinking the last of the milk after cereal. Christmas is going to be very magical at your house for sure this year. Can't wait to see your pictures of the kids Christmas morning. Merry Christmas Johnston Family! xoxo

Okay, drinking the milk at the cereal bowl then the smile that followed had me laughing out loud. I sure hope Santa lives up to what she really wants.
