Each week at home with two kids seems to get easier and easier. Ross is falling into a schedule and Bridget is adjusting to being at home everyday much better than before. The first few weeks at home she woke up every morning asking to go to Grandma's...since that had been her routine for nearly the past 2 years. We've seen a lot of Grandma and that makes her very happy, but she finally seems to understand that when she wakes up we don't have to rush to get out of the house by 7am.
Some days those "Terrible Two'" moments sneak out, but her sweetness the rest of the time makes up for it. Her spontaneous, "I wub (love) you, Mommy" are the best. I'm finding that I'm able to spend a lot more playtime with her that I thought I would be able to. When Ross sleeps we have tea parties, play ball, color & draw and basically whatever it is that she wants. She loves to my little helper too. We make the beds in the morning together, do the laundry, vacuum and of course, "helping" me cook is still a favorite.
And Ross?...What an angel he is! Really, he's just perfect! He's chubby, adorable and he's so good at the two things that are most important...eating and sleeping! My very favorite thing about him (besides his cheeks) are the the little fuzzy, wuzzy hairs on his head. So cute!! He turned one month old earlier this week, but it truly feels like he's been here forever! I can hardly believe how easy and wonderful it's been to transition from one to two kids. For me, it's been even easier that when we brought Bridget home.
Bridget is still warming up to her baby brother. She likes him at a distance, but rarely gets too close. She plants a kiss on his head every now and then, so for now I guess that will have to do!
We're loving the warmer Spring weather and preparing for a very special 30th birthday next week!
1 month old today!
He loves to be all wrapped up in soft, cozy blankets

I love the counting and sorting. Her mama must be a teacher.... Ross looks so comfy all wrapped up.
